The Foundation for Veterinary Dentistry (FVD) is thrilled to announce the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) as the recipient of the 2024 Make Me Smile Program Shelter Dentistry Grant. This prestigious award recognizes KHS’s exceptional commitment to improving dental care for shelter animals and enhancing their overall well-being and adoptability.
The $20,000 grant will enable the Kentucky Humane Society to acquire essential dental equipment, including a high-speed dental delivery system and dental radiography tools. Once in place, the Foundation will provide a full day training and hands on dentistry lab for the clinical staff. These advancements will significantly enhance the quality of dental care provided to shelter animals, increasing their chances of finding forever homes.
